Florence Mary Paulowicz. Age 87 of Gregory, MI.

Beloved wife of the late Robert G. Paulowicz, Sr. Loving mother of Robert G. (Lorrie) Paulowicz, Jr., Lawrence (Joanne) Paulowicz, Patricia (Gary) McNulty, Kathleen (Robert Falin) Paulowicz, Dianne (Philip) Morin, and Kenneth (Megan) Paulowicz. Dearest grandmother of Jennifer, Brian; Kristen, Jennifer, Jason, Nicholas, Lisa, Jeremy, Kaitlyn, Misty and Ryan. Also survived by 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.

FAMILY TRIBUTE

Florence Paulowicz, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She lost her mother when she was only 12 years old. She quit high school because she was needed at home to help take care of the household. This never bothered her because she always put the needs of others before her own.

She married the love of her life, Robert G. Paulowicz Sr., on June 10, 1950. She worked in a box factory, but gave up the job to raise the six children she and her husband had together. Her main focus in life was her family. She loved with all she had. She was selfless and always concerned about everyone else. She didn’t think twice before offering a helping hand to those in need. Even in the hospital, when she was the one in pain, she was worried about the nurse who was expecting a baby.

Florence always talked about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with pride. She loved having visitors and welcomed anyone in as if they were family. She would continually try to feed everyone, which the grandchildren took full advantage of when staying over at her house.

She took getting older in stride, using her picker-upper in many creative ways, like using it to help put her socks on or as a toy to play with her great-grandchildren. She was young at heart and loved to laugh. She made sure she didn’t miss her favorite TV shows: Ellen, Harry and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Florence loved animals tremendously. Her cat, DJ, was like a child to her. Her children would often tease her saying that she talked about her cats more than them. Her beloved DJ passed away earlier this year, and though she mourned the loss, Florence opened her heart and home and adopted another cat in need named Bailey. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the birds out of her window. One of her favorite birds was the female Cardinal. She would say, “the male Cardinal is so pretty, but I love the female because she looks so soft.” She would often worry that the birds in the winter were cold and hungry, so she made sure the bird feeder was always full. She was a faithful supporter of The Michigan Humane Society.
