Obituary of Patrick H. Christie
June 26, 1941 - December 27, 2017
Patrick H. Christie. Age 76 of Southgate
The theatre lights have gone dark for the final curtain call of Patrick Harris Christie, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother/brother-in-law.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Georgiana Christie, his children Colleen (Christie) and Robert Solo, Kathleen (Christie) and Kevin Orban, Michelle (Christie) and Christopher Musienko, his grandchildren Kelsea, Katelyn, Nathan, Zachary and Matthew and his great-granddaughter, Scarlett. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Christie) and Frank Drabek, sisters-in-law, Doris Jobin, Rosemary Bodrie, and Janet Nemcok, many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Kathryn Christie.
Patrick loved his family and grandchildren but his other love was the theatre. For more than 40 years, he was involved with several of the local theater groups in the downriver area where he was able to share his talents for acting, directing and set designing. He met and became friends with many people who also shared his passion for the stage.
All who knew Pat, will miss his smile and infectious laugh. He loved to entertain and be entertained.
Break a leg, Patrick!
