Joseph "Larry" Le Blanc. Age 85 of Brownstown.
Joseph "Larry" Le Blanc, age 85, passed away at home in Brownstown, MI, January 2, 2018. Born in Ecorse to Eli and Ruth Le Blanc on March 2, 1932, he was predeceased by beloved wife Rita (Deziel) and 7 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis, daughters: Nghi Anh (Jeff) Paul and Anna Brusoe of Morgantown, WV and Dr. Lori White of Lexington, KY, student/friend Matt (Stacy) Boschi, Tom, Kim & Jesseca White, nieces & nephews, supportive friends & Polly (lap cat). A graduate Cum Laude from Notre Dame University, he served in the U.S. Army before teaching Greek Mythology and English in Livonia Public Schools. He wrote and published his life story, "Beside Myself", enjoyed gardening, photography, cooking & travel, but music was always number one. He sang baritone in the MOT Chorus, Downriver Churches, Grosse Ile Chorale, Bridgewater Chorus, & soloed with the Seaway Chorale & Orchestra. In September he sang "How Great Thou Art" for Bethel Baptist's 100th Anniversary where he was a member. His lifelong belief in Jesus Christ lives thru his kindness and gift of music. Memorial donations appreciated to Bethel Baptist Memorial Fund or Food Pantry.
