Kathleen Ann Stranyak. Age 76 of Brownstown

Kathleen was born August 23, 1946 to Victor Leo Santoro and Margaret Helen Beno in Highland Park. She passed away August 10, 2023, at home with family.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Stranyak, Jr.  Loving mother of Gregory Stranyak, Christopher (Angie) Stranyak, Philip Stranyak (Dannielle Laura) and the late Julie (the late Eric) Moore.  Dearest grandmother of Paige Stranyak, Cody Stranyak, Tailor Fisher, Eve Moore, Phoebe Moore, Evan Stranyak and Drew Bills; and great grandmother of Michael and Noah. Dear sister of Peggy (Carl) Patton, Loretta Santoro and Dolores (Tony) Green; and sister in law of Lynn Santoro.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and countless friends.  Preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Margaret Santoro and brother, Bob Santoro.

Kathy was a loving and compassionate person who could see the best in everyone. She met you where you were and was genuinely interested in your life. She was first to the dance floor, loved a glass of wine and being in or near the water. Kathy’s house was the gathering place and everyone was welcome. Family, friends, strangers. She didn’t judge. She could whip up a meal from nothing and tell you the name of every plant or flower you’d point out. She loved us all deeply and we felt it. She’d say ‘Bloom Where You Are Planted’ and we are all rooted in her love and her shining spirit will live with us forever.
