Bernard J. Engler “Sonny”. Age 82 of Taylor.
Beloved husband of Mitsue Engler for 61 years. Loving father of Grace Engler and Allison (Jon) Havican. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth Havican and Ava Havican. Dearest brother of David (Barbara) Engler, Donald (Tammy) Engler and Nancy (John) Ulicny. Dear Uncle of John, Matthew, Joshua, Lynn, Sheryl, Debbie and Trinity.
Family Tribute ~
Born in Hamtramck, Michigan on April 13, 1941, to Bernard and Elizabeth Engler. He was the eldest of four children. After graduation, he served in the Navy for five years. During his service in Japan, he met his wife Mitsue and they were married on March 20, 1962.
In 1968, they settled in Taylor, Michigan where he resided his entire life. Ben retired from Monsanto after working for 30+ years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Above all, he will be remembered for his love of family and friends.
