Obituary of Denise Scodellaro MacDonell
June 28, 1961 - February 1, 2024
Denise Scodellaro MacDonell. Age 62 of Allen Park.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph MacDonell. Loving mother of John (Alyson) MacDonell and Jane MacDonell. Dearest daughter of Nevis and the late Davide Scodellaro. Dear sister of Joyce (Duane) Hughes, David (Cathy) Scodellaro and Diane (Jeff) Scodellaro Ondrla. Denise enjoyed her family, including her 12 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oasis of Hope.
Family Tribute
Denise obtained her Bachelor's degree with Michigan State University and her Master’s degree with Central Michigan University. This education provided her a successful career as an engineer with Ford Motor Company.
She was a long time member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Wyandotte. Once St. Stanislaus closed, Denise found comfort attending St. Cabrini Catholic Church and St. Stephen Catholic Church.
Denise married the love of her life Joseph MacDonell in 1989, together they had John and Jane.
In addition to being a loving mother. Denise enjoyed visiting the local metroparks, bike riding and tending to her garden.
Throughout her entire life, Denise held an unwavering faith in God. Which she shared with those who surrounded her.
