Family Tribute ~

The son of Vester Glen & Mary Hicks; Kaiser AR,  William was one of thirteen children and is survived by sister Ruby (John) Hammack. A beloved father and devoted husband, he went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2024.

Bill, as he was known by his many friends and family, loved fishing, golf and enjoyed traveling; from the Grand Canyon to the Smokey Mountains. He visited Las Vegas, Graceland, The Grand Ole Opry and the Korean War Memorial, where he searched the wall for his older brothers name.

He liked to gamble, whether on horses, black jack, stocks or the lottery. When asked how he fared? His comment was "I donated".

When Bill retired from Triangle Broach after years as a machinists, he began working on cars as a hobby.

Predeceased by his wife Betty and leaves behind 4 Children: William, Robert, Sherry & Cheryl, daughters-in-law, & sons-in-law; 4 Step Children and many Grandchildren & Great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

William was the Father other kids wished they had. He was the sweetest most generous man, quick to smile, lend an ear, give advice and loved with his whole heart. He will be missed dearly.

The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Angela Hospice, Livonia, MI.
