Obituary of Gordon Lee Armstrong
November 30, 1939-April 11, 2024
Gordon Lee Armstrong. Age 84 of Brownstown.
Beloved husband of Lona Armstrong. Loving father of Phillip Armstrong, Darcy (Anthony) Iafano, Justin (Wendy) Armstrong, Valerie (Ben) Porter, Dustin Armstrong, and Autumn Anderson. Dearest grandfather of Rylie, Cynthea, Amelia, Xander, Zoey, Logan, and Brooklyn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Mildred (Diehl) Armstrong; grandparents Xenophon and Toinett (Church) Armstrong; and sisters Cecelia Strawser and Donna Mainzinger.
Gordon was a handyman and a jack of all trades, able to make or fix anything you needed. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, traveling, and playing euchre. He also collected model cars and trains, inspired by his time working for the railroad. Gordon enjoyed cooking, a skill he passed down to his children. More than anything, his family will remember him as a social butterfly, and a Good Buddy to everyone he met.
