Family Tribute ~

Kathleen C. Nowak, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 13th, 2024.  She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and laughter that will be forever cherished.

Kathy was a devoted wife to Dennis whom she shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Dennis was not just her husband but her partner in every sense of the word, and their bond was unbreakable. They delighted in traveling to new destinations and together moved to Arizona until the love for her children and grandchildren brought them back to Michigan. Above all, Kathy cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, showering them with love, attention, and thoughtful gifts, especially books, which she delighted in selecting for them.

Kathy was a woman of many talents and passions. As a seamstress and owner of a bridal salon in Trenton, Mi she wove together threads of creativity and skill, leaving behind a tapestry of beautiful creations. After she sold her business, she found joy in working for the Woodhaven School District as a Paraprofessional at the elementary schools. Once she returned from Arizona, her commitment to her work went far beyond duty at the bus garage; it was a reflection of her compassionate nature and her willingness to go the extra mile for others. Whether it was ensuring the safety of children, lending a listening ear to a colleague in need, or simply brightening someone's day with one of her famous dishes, Kathy approached each day with grace and humility. She touched the hearts of many children, leaving an indelible mark on their lives with her kindness.

A vibrant soul, Kathy was known for her radiant smile and her ability to light up any room she entered. She was the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. Her famous taco dip became a staple at gatherings, always eagerly anticipated and devoured by friends and family alike. From the first signs of spring until the last days of summer, she could be found tending to her garden with unwavering dedication and tender care. Amongst her cherished blooms, her orchids held a special place in her heart. Their delicate petals and vibrant colors mirrored the grace and elegance she exuded in every aspect of her life.

Though Kathy may no longer walk amongst her beloved flowers, her spirit will forever bloom in the hearts of all who were touched by her love and kindness. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and her garden will continue to inspire us all in the days ahead.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
