February 2, 1941 - April 20, 2024
Richard Knight. Age 83 of Wyandotte.
Beloved husband of Shirley Knight. Loving father of David (Jacqueline) Knight. Dearest grandfather of Stephanie (Jon) Follebout and Natalie (Troy) Knight. Dear brother of Jim (Annabel) Knight, Walt Knight, Sandy (Mark) Engdahl, the late Tim Knight and the late Marilyn Phillips. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory, located within Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.

Richard, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and United States Air Force veteran, passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2024 at the age of 83. He was deeply cherished by his family and will be greatly missed.
Born on February 2nd, 1941, Richard served his country with honor and dedication in the United States Air Force. His commitment to service extended beyond his military career to his role as a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather.
In addition to his dedication to his family and country, Richard had a passion for fishing, hockey, and flying and building model airplanes. He also shared a love for the epic tales of Star Wars, passing on his enthusiasm to his son and grandchildren.
Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service. His memory will be forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Richard retired after 35 years of service from Detroit Edision.
May he rest in peace.

Our History
John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936. He had a strong work ethic and believed that you should never stop learning...
