Obituary of Mark James Montroy

December 25, 1962 - May 29, 2024

Mark James Montroy.  Age 61 of Taylor.

Loving father of Chelsea Montroy (Ayden Cotrell). Dearest grandfather (Pipi) of Zayden Montroy. Dear brother of Cindy (Larry) Betteley, Deborah Montroy (Jim Dennett), Renee (Rich) Grignon and sister-in-law Tammy Montroy. Predeceased by his loving parents, Jim and Yvonne Montroy and his dear brother, Keith Montroy as well as loving partner, Debbie Strimpel. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as Tracy Hale, the mother of his daughter Chelsea, and girlfriend Lena Barrios. 

Mark graduated from the good ole Ecorse High School. He was proud to be from Ecorse, where he grew up on Union Street. Mark loved spending the majority of his time doing what he loved the most - fishing on the lake, helping out his elders, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family. He also loved going to his grandson's baseball games, where he would cheer him on. Mark was also a very big animal lover.  Known for his humor, Mark was always putting a smile on someone's face with the jokes he would tell. He attended church at Victory Baptist in Taylor.  

Everyone is invited to meet on Saturday June 8th at 12:30 p.m. in the Michigan Memorial funeral home parking lot for a procession to Michigan Memorial Park where there will be a service under the pavilion at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, inurnment will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the crypt of his mother, Yvonee Montroy.

Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory, located within Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.
