May 27, 1947 – June 21, 2024
Ronald R. Wilson. Age 77 of Taylor.
Ronald R. Wilson, born on May 27, 1947, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. A lifelong resident of Detroit, Michigan, a U.S. Navy Veteran, Ron embodied the spirit and culture of his beloved city.
Ron was a devoted father to Heather (Ryan) Zagor and Ryan (Kimberlee) Wilson, and a proud grandfather to Madison, Rianne, Nathan, and Nicholas. He cherished every moment spent with his family and was a loving and supportive presence in their lives. He also shared many wonderful years with his longtime partner, Gail Truran, whose companionship brought him joy and comfort.
Ron was a true Motor City man, whose life was deeply intertwined with the rich automotive culture and vibrant history of his beloved hometown. He had an unyielding passion for classic cars and Michigan’s deep automotive history. He loved attending car shows and engaging with fellow enthusiasts, always ready to swap stories and share his expertise. Equally passionate about music, Ron was a fervent admirer of Motown. The music brought him joy and was the soundtrack of his life. As a loyal fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Ron, was always up to date on the current stats of his home team; and his love for hockey was a testament to his dedication and pride in his hometown.
A private celebration to Ron's life will be held Saturday, June, 29, 2024, 2:00 PM at Sun Outdoors Kensington Valley, 25800 Haas Road, New Hudson, MI 48165.
