Obituary of Frederick S. Pevovar
March 18, 1925 – June 27, 2024
Fred Pevovar. Age 99 of Wyandotte.
Dearest son of the late John and the late Stella Pevovar. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Fred was the youngest of 10 siblings. He was born on March 18, 1925 in Wyandotte, MI. He was a proud World War II Veteran. Being drafted into the Army at the young age of 18, he served his country proudly. Fred fought with distinction at Normandy on D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge. He received many medals, including 5 bronze stars, a good conduct medal and a World War II victory medal. He remained proud of his military service for as long as he lived and was truly one of the Greatest Generation.
Fred dedicated his life to caregiving and was a dear son, brother, uncle and friend. He was always an excellent cook and took great joy in sharing it with others.
