Dominic J. Ricci. Age 81 of Southgate.
Beloved husband of Deanna. Loving father of Scott C. Sams and Tammy (Mike Kish) May-Kish. Dearest grandfather of Erika (Jason) Showler, Dominic Alderman and Scott (Destiny Dozier) Sams. Great grandfather of Layla, Presley, Lucy and Willow.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Family Tribute ~
Dominic was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 30th, 1942 to Saverio & Lucy Ricci. Dominic attended St. Gabriel K-12 & attended Wayne State University. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1997.
Dominic loved his trains. He was an avid collector of Lionel Trains. He also loved to golf, watch the Tigers & the Red Wings with his wife Deanna.
Dominic became a Husband, a Father & Papa all in the same day when he married Deanna. He was a Father of 2, Papa of 3 & a Great Papa of 4 great granddaughters.
Dominic was an Army Veteran! He was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Ancient Order of the Hibernians, even though he wasn’t Irish.
Dominic was a very humble, kind, & loving man. He loved life to the fullest. He would do anything for his family & friends. Everyone that came in contact with him loved him. He made everyone feel accepted. He will be deeply missed by many! Our family is at peace knowing he’s with God & his Mom & Dad.
There will be a Memorial Mass at 10 am on September 28th, 2024 @ St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wyandotte. A luncheon will immediately follow the service @ the K of C on Biddle in Wyandotte.
