Merretta Giertz. Age 97, a lifelong resident of Southgate.
Loving mother of Rich (Sheri) Giertz. Dearest grandmother of Kristen (Jeff) Cicotte, Brian (Chesley) Giertz, Desarie Giertz, Angie (EJ) Meyer and Nikki (Bill) Plasters. Also survived by many great grandchildren; daughters in law, Jill Fleek and Sharon Giertz; and brother, Ev Cann. Preceded in death by husband, Erven Giertz; sons, Gary Giertz and Bob Giertz; grandson, Keith Giertz and siblings, Shirley Williams and James Cann.
