Family Tribute
Donald was born in Alabama and raised in Wyandotte, Michigan, where he attended Roosevelt High School. His childhood was filled with a love for baseball, and as a teenager, he found joy in working on cars. As he grew older, Donald developed a passion for building and woodworking and enjoyed bowling and hunting. His life took a special turn when he met the love of his life, Cathy, at church. The two married on March 28, 1966, at 19 years old. Donald dedicated many years working at Great Lakes Steel, from which he eventually retired.
Throughout his life, he was an active member of the Masons, Shriners, and the American Legion. He was also a proud Army veteran. Above all, Donald was a devoted husband, an amazing dad, and a beloved papa. His family meant everything to him, and he was always there for them, especially for “Crazy Cat.” His deep love for Alabama football was known to all, and we will forever hear him saying “Roll Tide.” Donald will be remembered for his kindness, his good heart, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. He truly lived for his family, and his legacy of love and loyalty will never be forgotten.
