Obituary of Frank James Pascarella
September 8, 1927 – March 7, 2018
Frank J. Pascarella, Age 90 of Southgate.
Beloved husband of the late Lucy Pascarella. Loving father of Frank (Joyce) Pascarella, Anthony (Susann) Pascarella, Pamela (Dan) Varitek and Michael (Susan) Pascarella. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
FAMILY TRIBUTE
Frank James Pascarella was born Sept. 8, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan and was part of family of 13 children and step children. He graduated from Southwestern High School where he was on the basketball team and then joined the United States Army. He was extremely proud to serve his country. He married Lucile Ann Foresi in 1950 and they were happily married 64 years until Lucy passed away in January 2015. Frank and Lucy raised 4 children in Southgate, Frank (Joyce), Anthony (Susann), Pamela (Dan Varitek) and Michael (Susan) and have 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Frank was employed at Ford Motor Company for 30 years and retired for 32, making him a member of the extended Ford family for 62 of the company’s 114 years.
Frank was a very active member of the community. He was a member of the Southgate Seniors –and also active in Golf, American Legion Post 0478, Knights of Columbus 3078, St. Pius church and many, many more. He was Euchre Champ for Senior Olympics multiple times.
Frank was a loving, outgoing, caring and a wonderful man. He loved to eat and travel, visit casinos and be with family. He so loved being of Italian heritage and always incorporated Italian food, sayings, traditions and songs. Frank would have loved to find an Italian Casino with matching buffet!!
Frank adored his family with his whole being!! He was generous and loving and wanted family around all the time.
Frank lived his 90 years to the fullest and will be forever loved and remembered.
