Obituary of Wayne Fredrick Sourbeck
July 26, 1944 – November 2, 2024
Wayne Sourbeck, age 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He passed away at home with his family at his bedside.
To know Wayne was to love him. He never knew a stranger. A 1962 graduate of Melvindale High School, he met his High School sweetheart with whom he shared 59 blessed years together.
Wayne was a faithful servant for over 45 years in his home church, Grace Bible Church of Southgate MI.
He is survived by his one true love, Linda (Wilkins) Sourbeck, his two children and best friends Wayne Sourbeck II (Susan), Jenifer Myers (Ronald, deceased) and his two granddaughters Kylie Elizabeth and Lauren Elyse who brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by his brother Edward Sourbeck (Barb, deceased), his brother Donald Sourbeck (Jan) and brother-in-law, Bill Wilkins (Artie) as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
