Family Tribute ~
Christine was born in Detroit to Marcellus and Elaine Fry on January 21, 1949. Christine passed on November 3, 2024, her late mother’s birthday.
She attended All Saints Catholic School, which assisted in building her faith as a devoted catholic. Christine has been a long time member of Our Lady of the Woods, volunteering when she was able. She was also a member of the Irish American Club.
Christine was a successful business owner. She owned and operated Irene’s Cake Shop in Southgate, MI with her late former husband, Ronald Wenzel. She was especially proud of her restaurant Mr Nick’s in Trenton, MI, which she ran side by side with her late partner Nick McGrath for over 31 years.
Christine was passionate about her pets, especially her late dog, Marley Erin. She enjoyed reading, shopping and traveling to Florida in the winter months, where you would find her and her best friend Carol often playing the game Mexican Train.
She will forever be known for her kind soul, generosity, dedication, patience and faithfulness. Christine didn’t just love you, she loved you “more.”
