Barbara M. Cooper. Age 81 of Rockwood.
Beloved life partner of Carol Gahry for over 30 years. Loving stepmother of Denise, Colleen and Kenneth. Dearest sister of Warren (Kimberly) Cooper. Devoted aunt and Godmother of Felicia (Tim) Cooper-Dupuie.
Barbara was a graduate of Lincoln Park High School in 1961. She went to the University of Detroit Dental School for dental hygiene. She was a dental hygienist for over 40 years. She was a classically trained trumpet player and played in a “wedding” band for over 50 years. She always enjoyed her family and friends, and was the life of the party. She was an avid reader and had an extensive book collection. She had many German Shepherds and cats, and was a big animal lover. She enjoyed photography and took beautiful pictures. She enjoyed traveling with her partner Carol and went to many countries and beaches.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Monroe Humane Society.
