Family Tribute
Jane Martin, born in 1942, was the second of five surviving children of Bud and Bonnie Fisher.
She graduated from Holly High School and Wisconsin State University - Whitewater.
Jane was a teacher who taught for over thirty years in the Lincoln Park public school district before retiring in 2006.
She married George Martin in 1968. They had two daughters, Jackie and Julie. When George passed away in 1982, Jane raised her daughters on her own.
Jane loved spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. She had many close friendships that were deep and lifelong. She also loved her dog Sami, who we know will miss her very much. She had a passion for gardening, reading, and stained glass work.
What will Jane be remembered for the most? Her generous spirit. She seemed to sense when others needed her, and that was when she shined the most.
