Dear Michelle & Ron and Tom, Jonathan, Kristen & Michelino, and to your entire family: First, that was the most beautiful family tribute ever. I’m in tears reading it, yet your words were so kind, and true, and reminded me so much of Marilyn and how much I loved her, and how much I’ve missed her, it brought a smile to my face. Your Mom really had an amazing life and was such a strong woman. It was a nice surprise that you added my Mom, Bertha, your Mom’s partner in crime, to Marilyn’s obituary. And now, my Mom has her best friend back, and in heaven they are without pain or any health problems, free to be in peace.
Your Mom was one of the most generous women I had the pleasure of knowing. And I’m proud to say that my daughter, Amanda and I, were the thankful recipients for many years of your Mom’s Thanksgiving box filled with a turkey and all the fixings, and I’ll never forget every Christmas she had a new teddy bear for both Amanda and my niece Cori. We still have them! Marilyn treated me and those girls, and all of the Olshavsky’s, like we were her family. And we were.
After my Dad died. Marilyn was always there for my Mom, taking her to doctor appts, the grocery store, to get her taxes done. Heck, I think she even picked me up from the hospital a couple times after my back surgeries. And your Mom was so sweet, always worried about my back, or my Mom, always looking out for our family. I’m so thankful and grateful for everything Marilyn did, and so happy that my Mom & your Mom had each other to pal around with, especially after losing their dear husbands.
God Bless your family, especially during this difficult time. Cherish all the beautiful memories. I’ll see you at the Church on Thursday. Until then, all my love, Susan Olshavsky.
