Obituary of Kathleen Marie Corlione

March 8, 1954 – July 2, 2018

Kathleen M. Corlione. Age 64 of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Southgate. 

Loving mother of Trina (Scott) Cosnowski and Julie (Gary) Rice. Dearest daughter of Shirley Brodrick. Dear sister of David (Janet) Brodrick and Natalie (Eric) Cassady. Grandmother of Austin Rice, Damon Rice, Aiden Rice, Shane Rice and Benjamin Cosnowski. Preceded in death by Frieda and Martin Brodrick, Charles Bruce Eggleston and Robert Wesley Brodrick.

FAMILY TRIBUTE

Kathleen “Kathie” Corlione was born to Robert and Shirley Brodrick.  She attended Churchill High School in Livonia, Michigan and immediately following high school, she joined the military and served in the United States Army.  While in the Army, she was stationed in Germany was a MP (military police).  Kathie met her husband, Charles Bruce Eggleston while in Germany, and they were married in December of 1975 at St. Valentine Catholic Church in Livonia, Michigan.  

Following her military service, she obtained her Associate’s Degree at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan.  Following graduation, she worked as a police officer in several cities, including Howell, Durand and Taylor, Michigan.  

Kathie obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan and majored in Criminal Justice.  In 2005, Kathie relocated to Florida and was working for the State of Florida in the Adults with Disabilities division, as a case manager. 

She was recognized by the governor of Florida for her dedication and her ability to meet the treatment needs of individuals with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities. Kathie attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic church in Port Charlotte, Florida.
