Obituary of Dolores Ann Vogen
March 26, 1948 – July 5, 2018
Dolores Vogen. Age 70 of Newport.
Loving sister of Susan Vogen. Preceeded in death by her parents Joseph and Eleanor Vogen.

FAMILY TRIBUTE
Dolores was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Eleanor Vogen. The family eventually moved to Detroit where the roads
were paved in gold with the Automotive Industry. Later, they moved to Southgate, Michigan where Dolores graduated from Southgate High School.
Eventually, Dolores went to work for General Motors and retired after 30 years and 1 week. When she retired she got to spend quality time with her Dad (her Mom had passed away at 52 years old). Dolores next moved to the farm where she lived with her Dad and sister.
Dolores loved to decorate the house for each season and holiday. She dabbled in floral design after taking several college courses at Wayne County Community College. Dolores worked in a flower shop but was unable to do her own designs, therefore retired again.
Dolly was content being on the farm with her sister, dogs, parakeet, and the peace and quite. She was a big help to her sister and the beading quild.
Dolores also supported the Monroe County Sherrif K9 Unit and the K9 Defender Fund (k9defenderfund.org). The K9 Defender fund provides Buddy Bags and training to Military, Police,Fire and Search &Rescue K9 Handler. The Buddy Bag is a first aid kit for the K-9s.
She will be missed by all. God added another angel in heaven.
