Obituary of Matthew William Simons
September 9, 1956 – August 17, 2018
Matthew ‘Mike’ Simons. Age 61 of Taylor.
Beloved husband of Rita. Loving father of Melissa (Randy) Brown, Eddie Sokolowski, Faye (Walter) Lancaster, Angela (Mark) Beesley and April (Nihal) Tayeb. Dear brother of Joanne, Iris, Kim and Tim. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Our Dad
Matthew William Simons was a man who was born into this world and raised by parents that instilled the meaning of family in him. He loved family and anyone who he considered a friend was considered his family. Mike loved his children, Rita and worked hard everyday to provide a good home and food for them. He never asked for anything except that his family come over so he could cook for them, listen to oldies, laugh and talk about old times while drinking a cold Budweiser.
Our dad was the strongest man we knew. He was the first man we ever loved. He was a Papa, he was a Goo Goo, he was a Matt Matt the Far Out Super Cat, he was a ‘Mattquest’, he was a Matthew, he was a Mike, but most of all he is a loved man. He was an extraordinary man that did not like for people to be sad and he loved to play air guitar to his favorite rock song in his garage. Mikes family and friends find peace and comfort knowing that he is in heaven now with his Mommy, Daddy, Jerry, Floyd, and Diane dancing and singing to Elvis doing it “His Way.”
