FAMILY TRIBUTE
Born in Antwerp, Ohio, Mary moved to Detroit area as a child. Mary met Richard at a dance and they were wonderful dancers. They were married within a year and together had four children. They continued to dance many years into their marriage. From their four children, they were blessed with eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her joy! Mary came to all of their birthday celebrations, school events and many sports events. The focus of Mary’s life was family. Mary hosted many family gatherings over the years. These gatherings were so important and so filled with love and joy.
Mary was extremely generous and loving, always thinking about others, and called family and friends frequently. Mary loved to go shopping with her friends and go out to lunch -- it was a social outing that she enjoyed. Mary loved spending summers at their cottage.
She was admired for her sense of style she even made many outfits in her younger years. She made the best macaroni salad and she always made her husband’s favorite tomato soup cake for his birthday. A well-loved holiday tradition was her Christmas chicken soup and her mother's italian pasta cuz-a-dadies. She enjoyed decorating her home and always welcomed her children’s friends and extended family.
