Obituary of Jack Richard Burnette

December 4, 1935 – October 9, 2018        

Jack R. Burnette.  Age 82 of Woodhaven.

Beloved husband of Donna Burnette.  Loving father of Jeffrey (Shirlee) Burnette, Jack (Shanon) Burnette and Douglas (Patty) Burnette.  Dearest grandfather of Michael, Jedediah and Emily.  Preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Helen Burnett. 

FAMILY TRIBUTE

Jack was born December 4, 1935 to Jesse and Helen Burnette. He graduated from Hammond Technical Vocational High School in 1954. He married Donna Black, the love of his life in 1956. Together, they had three sons.  He worked as an electrician in Indiana for 9 years.  In 1965, he moved his family to Michigan when he took a job at Ford Motor Company. He medically retired from Ford in 1994. For many years, he and Donna enjoyed square dancing where they made life long friends.  He was an avid reader and a great handyman...he could fix almost anything.  He was a hard worker and taught his sons the value of working hard, which they all learned. Words of wisdom he taught his three sons..... measure twice, cut once and when all else fails - read the instructions!  A memorial service will be held, Saturday, October 13, 2018,  12 Noon, at the First Presbyterian Church, 2799 West Road, Trenton Mi.  A luncheon to follow in Fellowship Hall.
