FAMILY TRIBUTE

Theresa Mae Hall was born in Detroit, Michigan. In her younger years, she lived on Claranne Street and went to Kaier Elementary School. On January 24, 1957 she graduated from Melvindale High School. She married her High School sweetheart, Bill Cooper, in 1957 and together they had two daughters – Theresa and Ardys. They were later divorced. Theresa eventually met and married Allen Stonesifer and had her daughter Karen. They, too, were later divorced. She was employed at RSI for 40 years as a switchboard operator and receptionist before retiring in 2009. Later, she married Joe Hall and eventually divorced for the last time. Theresa then began many years of volunteer work for several organizations such as Greenfield Village, Melvindale Pregnancy Crisis Center, and Fish & Loaf. She was a volunteer Usher at several theaters including the Fox, Fisher, Gem, and DBN Performing Arts. In her later years, she met and became best friends with Geraldine Lee, who introduced her to the Guardian Lutheran Church where she became an active member. She would volunteer and get involved in numerous programs sponsored by the Church, such as Mops, Ice Cream Socials, cooking and prep work for food sales, and serving the homeless at the Detroit Rescue Mission. Theresa has always been a strong, vibrant, active woman, caring and concerned for others. She was a hardworking, loving person who could always put a smile on the face of anyone who knew her. She loved spending time with family and friends, crafting, household projects, dining out and traveling. She would like to be remembered for helping others, making people happy, taking care of the people she loved, and always making the best of any situation. What we remember her the most for is helping us always feel better no matter what we were dealing with, her kind heartedness, being strong and selfless, and comforting anyone she met. Teri was truly an amazing woman who touched the heart of all she met in more ways than she knew with her joy for life and her caring and giving heart. She was always willing to help anyone in need. My mother, my friend, my life. You are always in my heart.
