Nancy Murphy. Age 80 of Lincoln Park.
Supported and surrounded by family and friends that loved her, Nancy Jean Murphy died from cancer on January 4, 2019. Nancy was born in Ferndale on June 24, 1938 to Fern and Raymond McKinstrey. A life-long Detroiter, Nancy married and raised three amazing children, Patricia (Trap), Sharon (Killian) and Michael (Murphy), and she loved being Grandma Amahs to her adoring grandkids, Sarah (Beatty), Bridger (Trap) and Cole (Killian). Caring and fiercely independent, Nancy served her neighbors, church and community as a friend, Public Servant, salesperson, and landlord. A dedicated Catholic and in honor of her memory, Mass will be held by Father Mike at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 12th at Saint Joseph Church, 344 Elm Street, Wyandotte. A visitation will follow at R.J. Nixon Funeral Home in Wyandotte, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Our History
John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936. He had a strong work ethic and believed that you should never stop learning...
