Family Tribute ~

On January 6, 2019, Linda Ellen Raczkowski (74), entered the kingdom of heaven while surrounded by her loved ones.

Linda, a native of Southgate, Michigan graduated from Schafer High School in 1962.  She married the love of her life Gerald Raczkowski on September 7, 1963. As a military spouse she resided in Memphis, Tennessee, San Diego, California, and Oak Harbor, Washington. She returned to Michigan in 1966.

Linda earned her degree as a Registered Nurse from Wayne County Community College in 1978. She was active in the Vietnam Veterans United LZ of Michigan and served as a spokesperson for the American Heart Association and Stroke.  She also attended Word of Faith Bible College and went on to lead Bible study groups as well as women’s ministries.

Many will remember her for her generosity and her kind heart. She enjoyed designing and making bracelets and then gifting them to friends, family, and those who might be in need.  However, her biggest gift was the gift of Faith.  She supported many charities including St. Vincent de Paul, St. Jude, Society of the Little Flower, the Capuchin, the Humane Society, as well as many other charities.

We will always remember her treating others with love, kindness, and giving great wisdom.  Her loving marriage of 55 years is a true showing of her being a great wife and life partner.  She raised four beautiful daughters that are a testament to her as a mother.  She was a caring, loving grandma and great grandma.  What more could you ask for in life?

In Linda’s words, “Have faith in God and in yourself.”
