Doris M. Blackson. Age 83 of Wyandotte.
Doris Marie Blackson (Riggle), born in Wyandotte, Michigan, February 11, 1935 to William Raymond and Frances Irene (Mozena) Riggle, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on January 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by Stanley, her husband of 55 years, and her daughter Judith. She is survived by her children James (Kumiko), John (Marcia), Jerald, Jennifer, Jay (Michelle) and Joseph (Jill). Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Doris graduated valedictorian from Wyandotte Roosevelt High School in January 1953. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Wyandotte. Doris co-founded the Wyandotte Co-op Nursery. She retired from Security Bank and Trust as Assistant VP and bank manager. She volunteered as a member of the Henry Ford Auxiliary for over 20 years and served over 11,000 hours in the Wyandotte Hospital gift shop.
Doris’ strong faith, sharp wit, warm personality, and loving friendship will be missed and cherished by all.
