Family Tribute

Marcia Ann Reidy, born on February 1, 1959, the middle child of seven to Norman (deceased) and Peggy Burns.

She graduated from Nursing School at Henry Ford College and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Detroit and had a fulfilling career as a nurse for many years. Marcia married the love of her life, James, at St. Patricks in Wyandotte nearly 38 years ago on July 17, 1981. The couple devoted their lives to each other and their daughters. She was the proud mother of 5 girls, Nora (Devin) Ezop, Molly (Philip) Turnwald, Margaret (John) Fitzgerald, Bridget, and Jamie. Marcia and James enjoyed taking their family on trips to their cabin in Rose City, attending Mass together, and witnessing their family grow. She was a fun-loving and generous Grammy to Finn (5) and Audrey (2) Ezop & Charles (3) and Iris (7 months) Turnwald.

Marcia was a loving and thoughtful sister to Peggy (Mike) Jernigan, Thomas (Janet) Burns, Norman (Jadwiga) Burns, Daniel (Ewa) Burns, Shirley (Jon) Kintner, and Maureen (Don) Whitton.

Marcia loved her in-laws, Mary and John (deceased) Reidy, John Patrick (Lorraine) Reidy, Richard (Erin) Reidy, Molly (Patrick) Mech, Timothy (deceased) Reidy, Michael Reidy, Charles (Pamela) Reidy, Joseph (Mary Jane) Reidy, and Eileen (David) Ellis.

Marcia will be remembered for her lively personality, knack for throwing parties, her sense of humor, and sound life advice. Her family and friends will treasure the memories made in her welcoming kitchen and the recipes she shared.
