Obituary of Virginia 'Ginny' Torango
June 2, 1945 – October 17, 2019
Virginia “Ginny” Torango. Age 74 of Lincoln Park.
Beloved wife of Warren “Mick” Torango. Loving mother of Tami Booth, Cindy Martin and Aimee Torango. Dearest nana of Justin (Lauren), Heidi, Tyler and Hannah. Also survived by brother-in-law Harold and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Cyril and Doris Severson and siblings Carmen “Gail” and Doreen “Dodie”.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
FAMILY TRIBUTE
Ginny was born June 2nd,1945, in Valley City, North Dakota to Cyril and Doris Severson.. She was the beloved younger sister of Carmen ‘Gail’ and Doreen ‘Dodie’. She met the love of her life, Mick, September 7th, 1963, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. They were married July 31st, 1964. They moved to Mick’s home state of Michigan in March of 1965.
Ginny was a wonderful mother to her three daughters, Tami, Cindy, and Aimee and Nana to her grandchildren, Justin (Lauren), Heidi, Tyler, and Hannah. She made them all feel like they were the most special person in the world when she spent time with them.
Ginny was well known for her delicious cakes, and the best frosting in the land, both with her cakes for family and friends, and also with her business ‘Ginny Cakes’. She loved The Wizard of Oz for the wonder and magic of it, and kept both in her heart always. She spread kindness and love and made friends EVERYWHERE she went.
Anyone who met her was blessed to have a little bit of Ginny in their life.
