Obituary of Patria Morales Moon

November 5, 1958 – November 13, 2019

Patria Morales Moon. Age 61 of Brownstown.

In keeping with my mother’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services held here in Michigan. For more than a year she has had a strong desire to return home and we don't want to delay that any longer.  She will be laid to rest next to her mother and other beloved family members, in her home town of Olongapo City in the Philippines.  For those of you who have known my mother, she is the fiercest, bravest, loudest, and sometimes too honest to a fault person, but most loving individual who would do anything for anyone.  She accomplished everything she set out to do in life and a whole lot more.  She gave all her love to her family and especially to her grandchildren.  She had many great friends that she loved to spend time playing mahjong, bingo, and poker.  She also loved going to Metro Parks to go fishing off the docks and sometimes if we were lucky, she would pack us a lunch or have a cookout.  She was and still is my hero but was taken way too soon, but she will never be forgotten. 

She was the Matriarch of her Family since her mothers passing.  A World traveler having touched down in seven different countries on four different continents.  A sharp Business Woman, Fantastic Mother, World Greatest Grandmother and the Ultimate wife.  She was also an honorary crew member of USS Cimarron AOE1 and an honorary Navy Wife. 

Beloved wife of Steven Moon.  Loving mother of Maria (Ken) Payne. Dearest grandmother of Michael and Jessica Payne.  Dear sister of Sonia Basa.  Daughter in-law of Clayton and Sue Moon.  Sister in-law of Sandy and Paul Huepenbecker.
