Family Tribute

Erma was born in Wyandotte, Michigan and lived there her whole life. During her childhood, she lived with her father, Roland H. Fansler, her mother Noreen (McGown) Fansler and her older brother Jerome D. Fansler.

She met her future husband when she was 7 years old and they began dating early in High School at Wyandotte Roosevelt. She became Mrs. Robert L. Abraham on June 29, 1956, at the age of 19 and they were married for 62 years.

She was the most loving wife and mother anyone could ask for. Everyone who knew her loved her, she had so many friends. She was loyal, funny, sassy, and full of spunk and life. She loved like no other, that was the beauty of her.

She earned a cosmetology degree in the late 1950s and worked as a beautician for a short time before eventually giving that up to become a full-time mother. When her 3 children got older, she worked as a clerk for 7 years for half the year at the City-County Building in Detroit, Michigan during the 1970s.

She loved to have parties and go to parties; the bigger the better! She loved to cook, read love stories, play cards and go to the casino. Later in life, she loved traveling with her husband and friends and spending the winters in Florida.

But the 2 things that she loved the most were playing bingo, which she was very good at and very lucky, and being a grandmother and then a great-grandmother.

She is survived by her youngest son, Michael Allen, his wife Sandra and her brother Jerry. She leaves behind her grandchildren Joseph, Michael, Jonathan, Derek, Nicole, Christopher, Joshua, Stacey and Sarah. Her great-grandchildren Marcus, Marissa, Emma, Rosalie, Joseph, Evangeline, Kaitlyn, Sebastian, Abigail, Evelynn, Noah, Emerleigh, and Tabitha.

She now joins her love, her husband Robert (Abe), her oldest son Robert E. (Robbie) and her beloved daughter Karen Clarchick, along with her parents in heaven.

Everyone who knew her will remember her charisma, charm, and love of life. Her memory lives on in all who knew her.
