Family Tribute

Gerald Clemens was known and loved by many. Anywhere he went there was always someone who knew who he was and would greet him with a warm heart and a spirit of joy to see him.

He was the steadfast pillar of the family. Although, rather quiet and reserved he shared his whole heart with his family and those he loved. But don’t be fooled, he could and would also be the life of the party, singing, playing pool (he was a pool shark), and dancing.

His wife, Jane, and his relationship balanced each other out as she was the outspoken, going, spitfire, and he usually stood behind her giggling, smirking, or shaking his head with love. Always followed by “Jaaannieee!”

When in his presence you could expect to hear the Detroit Tigers playing, golf, football, the soaps (he was our Victor Newman), Elvis, Roy Orbison, or Tom Jones. He especially loved to jam out with his family on Christmas night where he’d have them over every single Christmas and would be so happy and proud to do so.

Proud graduate of Lincoln park High School, “Home of the Rail Splitters.” You could always hear him say with that contagious smile and his rosy cheeks.
