In 1948, she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy at Washington State University. After working as a Pharmacist in Washington and California, she then earned a Master’s of Science in Pharmacy at the University of Maryland. In 1951, she moved to the Detroit area, marrying Charles R. From 1951 to 1957, she taught Pharmacy at the Detroit Institute of Technology, and in 1959, she earned a Master’s of Science in Chemistry at Wayne State University.
