Obituary of Nicolette Ann Gardner
August 16, 1961 – September 2, 2022
Nicolette “Nicky” A. Gardner. Age 61 of Gibraltar.
Beloved wife of James Gardner. Loving daughter of Jim and Ginny Henninger. Dearest stepmother of Sasha (David) Furrier and Cody (Amanda) Gardner. Dear sister of Kevin (Robin) Henninger and the late Paul Henninger. Proud dog mom of Jemma. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Nicky’s 39 year nursing career reflected her caring personality.
Nicky loved gardening, crafting, and cooking. She enjoyed hosting parties and get-togethers. She was an avid pool player, playing in leagues for many years. Nicky fished most of her life and took up walleye fishing in earnest after moving to Gibraltar. The boat she shared with her Uncle Joe was her “happy place.” She loved to travel near and far, with many particularly memorable trips to the Outer Banks, Ireland, Hawaii. Most of all she treasured time with friends and family, laughing and telling stories.
Over the last two plus years Nicky enjoyed great love and happiness after reconnecting with teenage sweetheart Jim Gardner. She will be greatly missed.
