Gina and Pam,
I am so sorry, when I saw your father passed, my heart just sank. I just wanted to cry and knowing the pain you would endure. I was saddened. I know how close you are to your dad from our younger years and now. I was the same with my dad and the pain runs deep. What a great relationship you shared. A father like no other. How blessed are you to have such a loving supportive father. May you hold all your moments and memories close, for they will help get you through the days ahead. Your Daddy knows how much you loved him and that’s a beautiful thing!
A story about your Dad,
I remember being at your home off Trenton road. Us girls were outside by your grandmothers house. Your dad was leaning over talking to a worker in his truck. He was wearing blue jeans and a hard hat. He was fit and looking great. Quite handsome he was. A car of young ladies came by slowed down shouted fox.
One of the gals leaned out the window and slapped him on his bottom.
Us girls were like Oh Boy we were laughing. We got such a rise out of that we just could not stop laughing.
That’s how I remember your Daddy.
Sorry Mrs.V we never told you cause the girls had to protect their Daddy...
I’ve told this story many a times over the years.
Oh Gina,
That car crash. I didn’t have my license. I was driving your Moms car so you could kiss your boyfriend. I crashed. You tried to take the blame for me but your dad didn’t believe us. We tried to slick him and We were sooo scared!! We begged your mom not to tell him and she didn’t,
She saved us!
I remember this all these years later, our memories held dear.
Much love to all the family.
